Product Safety

For the Grossmann-branded products offered in our online shop, the manufacturer and contact for product safety matters is:

Each product is clearly identified on its product page by name, image and article number (SKU). The article number also appears in the order confirmation, delivery note and invoice. Please quote it in all enquiries and reports.

• Machine parts such as winding shafts, bearings, knife cassettes, drives or controllers are not ready-to-use machines. They may only be put into operation once the machine or plant in which they are installed meets the applicable safety requirements.
• Knives and blades are sharp: handle only with cut-resistant gloves, cover edges during transport and storage, keep out of reach of children.
• Electrical products (e.g. hot-cut cassette, drives, control cabinets, sensors) may only be connected by qualified electricians. Disconnect power before working on them. Hot-cut elements become hot in operation – risk of burns.
• Pneumatic products (e.g. knife cassettes, pneumatic shear) must be depressurised before work.
• Operate rotating parts such as winding shafts and rollers only with guarding in place; observe permissible speeds, loads and roll weights.
• Observe the technical data on the product page and any documents supplied. If you lack information for safe installation, ask us before assembly.

Statements on conformity with EU legislation (e.g. CE marking, declaration of incorporation) only apply insofar as they are expressly stated in the product documentation or order confirmation for the product concerned. We send available documents on request.

If you identify a safety risk, an accident or a near miss with one of our products, please report it immediately to info@grossmann.de (subject “Product safety”) or by phone at +49 340 85921833. Please state the article number, order or invoice number, a description and – if possible – photos. Take an affected product out of operation until the matter is resolved.

We review every report, inform affected customers and the competent authorities where required, and publish safety notices or recalls on this page if necessary.
